Join us for a free, hands-on cooking workshop where we make one big, vibrant pan of vegan paella together, no experience needed, no cost to attend.
This session is part of our Cook Well, Spend Less programme, helping people in Gorgie-Dalry eat well on a tight budget. Paella is naturally a budget-friendly, communal dish, built from simple pantry staples like rice, beans, and whatever vegetables are in season and we'll cook it the traditional way: as a team, chopping, stirring, seasoning, and simmering side by side.
You'll take home practical skills: how to stretch affordable ingredients into a meal that feeds many, how to build big flavour without expensive extras, and how to turn one pot into leftovers for the days ahead. And you'll take home food too, everyone leaves with a portion of what we've cooked, plus the shared recipe to make it again at home.
But the real ingredient here is connection. There's something about chopping, stirring, and tasting together that turns strangers into friends by the time the pan is empty. Whether you've never cooked from scratch before or you've been cooking for years, there's a place for you at this table.
Bring your curiosity and an open mind . Let's cook something good together.
